This is #2 on the list of “most humbling experiences… ever”. On the way to a meeting this morning, I neglected to double check that my garage door had been raised I enough, and I… well… just look at the photos to see why I feel like Homer Simpson in the middle of a D’oh moment!
On the plus side, $97 later, Overhead Door had a repair in place to get the door working again. Also, from the outside, you can’t tell anything is amiss, allowing me to keep up the illusion that everything is okay within my little castle…
That said, I count myself lucky that all I got were two scratches on the rear fascia. Hmmm… perhaps when the remodeling on the house is properly paid off, I may consider a Tiger Shark rear fascia like the blue car in this picture
