The man’s got a point.

In an article from CNN.com, a resident asked the mayor of New Orleans this question:

A man added, “It’s a hard thing to believe that the United States of America is spending nearly one billion [dollars] per week in Iraq, and here, in New Orleans, the United States, we’re being neglected.”

…which is a damn good point. This isn’t to say Iraq is fully stabilized and settled (and I’m still a bit worried we may be exiting prematurely and leaving that country in dire straits), but we’ve had an outpouring of donations and yet — it seems our own people are being given a lower priority than Iraqi citizens.

Perhaps we should just build a fence around New Orleans so the residents there can’t sneak into the U.S.

Christina Desforges died in a Quebec hospital Wednesday after doctors were unable to treat her allergic reaction to the kiss the previous weekend…

Nevermind. Just Kill Me Now.

The Redskins just found a way to kill my faith. The defense just gave it up.

Keep the Faith.

I meant to write about this earlier (actually, yesterday).

I was reorganizing the HDTV recordings I have on my EyeTV 500, and I watched the final five minutes of the Redskins vs. Cowboys game from earlier in the season. After watching it, there is no way I can think of Brunell as “too old”, or see where our offense is ineffective. I also see where the defense is fully capable of coming up big.

Right now, the ‘Skins are up 17-7 agains the San Diego Chargers, and I’ve got a gut feeling this could be a turning point for the season… especially if we can wrap up by beating the Giants and Cowboys at home.
