The Good News
After sorting out what’s been happening, it seems that GM had no transmissions in inventory for 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. The replacement unit that my dealer received earlier in the week was faulty, and they tried installing it twice, costing them a lot of man hours. Luckily, according to my service advisor, the supplier was extremely apologetic and is going to have a replacement to them by next Tuesday, and I should be tooling around in the ‘vette by next Thursday.
The Not-So-Good-News
I returned the all-wheel drive Chevrolet Equinox that I had on loaner from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a big honkin’ Chevrolet Trailblazer that I quickly realized has selectable all-wheel drive which is not on by default. That said, it seats seven people, so now I’m thinking I need to rally some friends and do a field trip this weekend. Joy!
