Government Drone and Bionic Woman v1.0

Costume: Spooky government drone and v1.0- beta of the Bionic Woman
I love
Katee Sackhoff from her role as Starbuck on “Battlestar Galactica“. But she’s pretty hilarious on “Bionic Woman” where she makes me totally forget that she’s not the lead character… :-)

Rejected: I can’t find a girl willing to let me tie her up and put her on a dolly.

Rejected Hallowe’en Costume Idea #1

Star Trek: The Gamesters of Triskelion

Costume: Captain Kirk and an alien hottie from Episode #46: The Gamesters of Triskelion

Rejected: Multiple reasons — the main one being that I can’t find a (local) hottie who can pull off green hair and a bikini to pose alongside me. Plus, I’m not a Trekkie so this would be bad because: a) Trekkies are often ridiculed and b) Real Trekkies would know I’m a poser because I don’t remember every plot detail about the episode with the giant floating log that was supposed to be some sort of doomsday device. That said, I’d be willing to throw on a Shatner toupee to keep my end of the bargain!

Muggle Gaydar

Apparently, J. K. Rowling has “outed” one of her Harry Potter characters (Dumbledore) and this merited a mention on CNN.com.

What interested me was how Potter fans deduced Dumbledore might be gay.

Dumbledore

Potter readers on fan sites and elsewhere on the Internet have speculated on the sexuality of Dumbledore, noting that he has no close relationship with women and a mysterious, troubled past. And explicit scenes with Dumbledore already have appeared in fan fiction.
