I set a new personal best for bench press yesterday: five reps at 315 lbs! I’ve wanted to cross the 300 lbs. barrier ever since college, and this just reinforces that I’m actually in better shape now than I was in college. This means I probably have a max (one rep) somewhere in the 340-350 lbs. range.
I’m like a fine wine.. improving with age, lemmetellya!

Vernon Davis (tight end for the San Francisco 49ers) reportedly can bench press a max of 465 lbs., and I seriously doubt my fragile body could push that much weight without causing massive organ failure while blood starts flowing from every orifice in my body.
