Fresh out of my parents’ basement…
An old friend of mine hunted me down on LinkedIn, and then we stalked each other on MySpace, and finally I found out that a fellow who used to jam with me in my parents’ basement when I thought i had musical talent has actually produced a song that hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s R&B and Hip Hop Singles!
The song that hit the charts would be Wayna’s “Moonlight Rendevous” produced by this man, Kokayi:

For the record, I have no musical talent. I just jump on an analog synth and fiddle with the cut-off frequency while drop-sliding the resonance while yelling, “Drop the bomb, y’all!” at jam sessions until the really talented people throw me out.
And yes, I’m shamelessly plugging my buddy, but hey… check out some more of his music here. Personally, my current favorite right now is Babylon… but check out his other tracks. ![]()
