Having worked at a Sun during the dot-com boom, I know that moments like these, where your company’s stock is going up are to be savored, but not gloated over. It’s still a pleasant surprise and one I’m going to savor for a few minutes before getting back to hammering out this demo… *sigh*

I joined BEA Systems a year ago. My boss sent me a $100 gift card courtesy of BeyondWork.com, and this prompted me to reminisce about the good ol’ days at my last job, when we gave each other spirit animal names (in the fine tradition of someone’s ancestors).
